Dehydration

As the sugar level rises in the blood it can cause an increase in urination in order to clear the sugar from the body. When in the process the kidneys lose the sugar through the urine, a large amount of water is also lost which causing dehydration.


Wear and tear of Body:

High sugar levels in the blood may damage the nerves and small blood vessels of the eyes , kidneys , and heart and predispose a person to atherosclerosis of the large arteries that can cause heart attack and stroke.


Increase in thirst or liquid intake

As dehydration increases increase in thirst and liquid intake increase.


Increase in hunger

As compared to normal eating and especially after eating.

  • Dryness in mouth
  • Diabetic patients feel Nausea and vomiting
  • Fatigue, weak and tired feeling
  • Blurred vision caused by high blood sugar level.
  • There can be numbness or tingling of the hands or feet
  • Diabetes also causes infections of the skin or infection in urinary tract.
