Post pregnancy weight loss tips

A little discipline in your diet and exercise will help a lot to reduce your weight.
  • Drink lots of water before you eat.
  • You need a lot of roughage in your diet so please include salads in your diet.
  • Eat fruits at least twice a day that will also help you control the urge to consume carbohydrates and fat.
  • You have to make sure you eat 5 times a day but only small portion size which will help in maintaining fast metabolism to loose weight.
  • A lot of adults in our country are protein deficient. Please include things like soya , milk and yogurt for vegetarian diet or Egg white , pork chops ,tuna and chicken breast for Non Vegetarian diet.
  • Please avoid outside oily food to see weight loss swiftly.

Understanding you have 1 year old daughter so you have very less time for yourself but in general you should start all steps as given:

  • Swift walks and running for 30 mins will help to a great extent.
  • Leg lifts: To do this, lie down on your back and lift your leg straight up as far as you go. Hold and bring the leg down slowly. Repeat this with the other leg. They work to build the abs and add muscle to the calf
  • Ab crunches: Slim down the belly with this one! Ab crunches help tone up the stomach and strengthen it. Just ensure your neck is in the right alignment and keep your back flat on the floor while doing it, place your fist under your chin to keep your head from moving.
  • Side bends: Stand with your feet apart, and knees slightly bent. Place one hand on your hip and the other straight downward. Bend at one side, allowing the hand to reach toward the side of your leg (do not move the hips). Do about 20 reps and switch hands.
